Empower Yourself With a Will - Estate Planning
A prominent attorney, a veteran and a business consultant - Sans Gilmore - shared the 5 W's of successful Estate Planning.
The session included setting clear goals around what you you'd like to accomplish before you loose the ability to influence your quality of life and who your accomplishments will serve in the future.
Attendees learned about:
- Who should have an Estate Plan
- When should you have an Estate Plan
- What makes up an Estate Plan
- Where and How Estate Planning is done
- Why should you have an Estate Plan
This interactive session was engaging and exciting as attendees asked questions to better understand their own situations and resulting opportunities in their lives.
Yoga Nidra, Meditation & Crystal Singing Bowls
This gentle yoga practice with guided meditation achieves the deepest state of awareness, healing and rejuvenation.
We began the session with setting two intentions: one was to recognize the change that we seek, identifying specific improvements that we wish to magnetize and; second intention was to release the blockages that we perceive in life.
Next, the yoga session followed with gentle stretches and body movements designed to relax the complex and release the energy blockages. A guided meditation accompanied this practice focused on breath work, chakra energy flows, and an empowered state of mind through visualizations.
The session closed with a 20 min silent meditation to music composition by R. Carlos Nakai and Nawang Khechog "4th Movement: Heart" and live crystal singing bowls accompanying these high vibrations.
Attendees enjoyed the session and felt connected, awakened and rejuvenated!
Zumba for your Soul!
Zumba is an aerobic fitness activity that combines Latin and International music with dance moves. It improves cardiovascular fitness, great for weight loss, tones entire body, helps de-sress, improves coordination and MAKES YOU HAPPY!
Led by an incredible human Meckmeck and a family of Zumba Minions, this session began with smiles, laughter and shaking it, baby! In no time, we were sucked into a dance of balance, joy and exercise.
Following a 60 minute laughing, moving and shaking dance off, we resorted to great conversations over nutritious Horse d'oeuvres and hydrating water. Human connection is the theme of this activity and it was a HIT!
Quartz Kids Session
Wednesday, December 1st started seemingly ordinary in the Sunwood Lakes Community. But we had something extraordinary planned!
Jazzmenn, a dear friend and a Founder of the Rainbow Culture healing center in Auburn hosted a metaphysical class to introduce children to the crystal realms.
Together they explored Amethyst and practiced responsible and collaborative use of its energetic properties. For example, putting Amethyst under your pillow before going to bed and asking for pleasant dreams. Another teaching was holding Amethyst in your non-dominant hand when anxious to calm the mind. Children picked one of their own Amethyst that they could take on this journey and bring home.
The session followed into a 10-minute guided meditation where children envisioned going inside a beautiful Crystal Cave and its exploring its metaphysical realms. After they discussed what they saw and how it made them feel. One of the children reflected seeing all of them there together.
Following this experience, Jazzmenn discussed "intentions" and they practiced brining electro-magnetic energy into the hands. Together they shared their intentions, wishes and directed such energy toward the Amethyst and out into the Universe. Children sent wishes for "more seeds for the planet for more trees" and "more homes for those in need", as well as "more healthy food".
The class completed with a fun game of musical chairs and a free dancing to shake up! Kids had a blast and did not want the session to end. Children absolutely "Loved it!"
Yoga & Meditation Soul Retreat
Sunwood Lakes, WA
Our collaborative effort, between my dear friend Tracy Torwick, and I resulted in an amazing, personalized yoga and meditation session right here in our Community.
The focus of this session was flow of energy and being the change you want to see in the world. Everything is non-physical energy and how each one of us uses our potential to create daily output is 100% creation of our own, consciously and unconsciously. Attendees were treated with a 10 minute discussion on power of water and crystal spring water, an hour long personalized yoga session with Tracy as a yoga therapist, a 20 minute chakra flow meditation bringing attention to balance, peacefulness, expansion and clarity and a closing with words of wisdom from my favorite, Lincoln Gergar.
We reached for highest understanding of our purpose by calming the mind and the emotions, discovering most powerful healing techniques, focusing inward during the physical yoga practice flow and creating outward into the world from a peaceful and compassionate foundation brining forth a balanced and a loving state of Being, much needed in our world today.
For those who missed this extraordinary experience, I'm sharing the inspirations for this event and Tracy's contact for your personalized yoga therapy desires. We all must honor ourselves and I hope you join us on the next yoga retreat!
Mount Shasta, California Retreat
Our October retreat to Mount Shasta, in Northern California, brought us a sense of peace, love and care of each other, and ability to tune into the higher vibrations. We returned home inspired and motivated to pursue our hearts' desires in a family-friendly, eco-conscious and a sustainable way.
We all speak of Gaia (Mother Earth) on many levels of awareness. Some are awakened and aware enough to know that she is a living force in which we owe our whole existence too and honor her for that.
Just like us, the earth has both a physical body and an energetic body, complete with a chakra system identified by ancient mystics and modern scientists alike. Gaia, as the earth is called when acknowledged as a living entity in her own right, has her own life force and her own path of unfolding, separate from us, but including us. Human beings and Gaia are intertwined on every level, not just the physical. An awareness of her chakras can help us to acknowledge, heal and enable her on her own path, just as she selflessly returns the favor to us.
1st Earth Chakra:
The Root Chakra is located at Mt. Shasta in California. This energy center is considered primal and ‘base.’ Here is where the universal life force is considered to gather before it becomes life and is representative of the geysers which rush to the surface with energy the same way that kundalini energy is thought to rush to the crown or pineal gland was awakened from the root chakra.
The mountain takes its name from the local Sastise (Shastan) Indians. These tribes have used specific sites on Shasta for the training of medicine men and women, for spiritual vision quests, and for healing and guidance. On the mountain's lower, forested slopes, plants and other natural materials are still gathered for food, medicinal and ceremonial use.
Whatever your calling is for this journey, join us on an adventure to the Divine Mount Shasta and integration with Gaia's root chakra.
Shasta Lake is the largest manmade reservoir in California, offering over 360 miles of shoreline when it's full. The rugged country, varied shoreline, and sheer size of Shasta Lake tend to break the lake into different areas, each with its own opportunities, moods, and settings. As you drive the interstate to and from Redding you'll see what appear to be several lakes, but Shasta Lake is actually a series of fingers that connect at big, deep spots, and then collect at the dam. Several of the fingers are actually incoming rivers that feed the reservoir. To create this mammoth spread-out lake, five towns were covered, the remains of which are still down submerged, most so deep that even scuba divers cannot explore them.
Surrounding the lake are marinas, restaurants, and everything necessary for hundreds of people to enjoy lakeside vacations. All manners of boats are available on Shasta Lake, from rowboats to powerboats to pontoons. Skiing and wakeboarding are popular, as are kayaking and paddle boarding. Wooded flats, steep, rocky hillsides, secluded creeks, an occasional waterfall, and thousands of acres of mountainous country surround the lake. With literally hundreds of coves to claim for an afternoon (or two), you may never leave the boat again!
Shasta Lake Caverns
Located in the foothills of Mt. Shasta, 900 feet above Shasta Lake, is the West's newest National Natural Landmark!
A trip to Shasta Caverns was‘Three Adventures in One!’ We enjoyed a scenic catamaran cruise across Shasta Lake, a fun bus ride to the cave entrance, and an information-filled tour of what we'll consider one of the most beautiful limestone caves in the USA!
What a better place to be than deep inside Gaia on this Root Chakra Soul Retreat!
Spend an afternoon at Port of Ilwaco. Located on the Southwest coast of Washington, the Port of Ilwaco is nestled just inside the Columbia River bar. A working fishing village in a scenic and tranquil setting.
We learned of a new business, Fishpeople Seafood, featuring exceptional seafood quality, dock direct sales and sustainability. We are pleased to have created a contact in seafood sourcing, supporting local community.
Enjoy a lunch or dinner at Salt Pub & To Go, where simple handmade food is prepared, beer & wine is served, and good company is welcomed. Or stroll over to Waterline Pub for a relaxing atmosphere by the marina. Whatever you choose to indulge in, Live Your Life!
The Long Beach Peninsula is remarkable for its continuous sand beaches on the Pacific Ocean side, 28 miles in extent, is said to be the longest beach in the United States and the world's largest drivable beach. Maneuvering through the sandy terrain was quite a fun experience with "Rover". We are a team indeed!
Walking bare-feet on the sand is a wonderful, compliments of Gaia, massage for an amazing body part (our feet!), which hold up and carry forward the rest of the physical temple. As Jacques Martel described in "The Complete Dictionary of Ailments and Diseases", "feet provide me stability in my movement toward a goal, a desire or a direction. They help me feel safe in my relation to the Universe." Mindfully grounding yourself in that awareness while soaking feet in sand is a beautiful way to appreciate the gifts of our planet and celebrate life in every moment.

Long Beach, WA Retreat
With changing seasons, we embraced the changes and ventured out to Long Beach, WA.
Long Beach is a city in Washington state. It's known for its beach and boardwalk on Long Beach Peninsula. City's vision is to become a vibrant resort community that shares its unique coastal environment with residents, businesses and visitors. The Discovery Trail traces a coastal route taken by explorers Lewis and Clark. At the mouth of the Columbia River, the 1800s Cape Disappointment and North Head lighthouses overlook the Pacific Ocean. Willapa National Wildlife Refuge has bird-rich wetlands.
We spent hot sunny afternoon playing in the ocean. After conquering the sandy dunes with a 4-wheeled wagon and what felt like a 100 pounds of chairs weight, at last we indulged in the energizing water of the Pacific Ocean. The day couldn't be more beautiful with the lovely people, a blue sky, a shining bright Sun, a refreshing breeze and a whole Gaia ground under our feet.
The energy of the water and its potential is strongly felt in places like this. There are undoubtedly many benefits to water therapy. The conscious effort to spend time in nature and enable for experiences such as this are the simple and free-resourced solutions for the human welfare and health care. It is important to instill in the young generation the importance of proper care for the physical body from within and ability to diffuse energies or place yourself in higher-vibration energies in a natural way.
The journey of relaxation and rejuvenation continues as we embark on a bike ride along the Discovery Trail. 8.5 mile trail begins at Port of Ilwaco and continues on through a grove of ancient Sitka spruce, coastal forests, transitional wetlands, and windswept dunes. Let the sounds and sights of the beautiful Washington coast reinvigorate your soul.
This journey through nature and history is incomparable. See it for yourself and find out why the Discovery Trail is a favorite year-round destination for many!
Most of the trail is paved and there are multiple access points, making it easy to enjoy for adventurers of any age or skill level.
Point Defiance Park, Tacoma WA
Tacoma's Point Defiance Park is one of the wildest and largest urban parks in the state. It truly has something for everyone: a zoo and aquarium, a historical museum, a beach, a 4.3-mile loop road that is closed daily for bikers and runners, miles of trails through the quiet forest, beautiful gardens and spectacular views to indulge in.
The natural beauty, the colors and man-made design of the rhododendron, rose and fuchsia gardens was divinely nourishing for the Soul. I was reminded to "stop and smell the roses".
Living Giants - Oldest, Heaviest, Tallest Living Beings on this planet - Meet the Trees! Eloquently described by Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium:
They communicate with each other. Send out pheromones when stressed. Adapt to their environment, Care for their children. Live in a community. Breathe.
Autumn is an exceptional season.
It represents the preservation of life and its basic necessities.
It is a meaningful time of the year to honor the harvest. Whether that be a "real" harvest of the things planted in the physical garden or the harvest of efforts and intentions for one's life path that were set earlier in the year.
The changing seasons are key points in the cycle of life in nature and should be perceived as a powerful deeper message for humanity. Celebrate this special time!
Point Defiance Park offers ample opportunities to breathe in the fresh air, calm the mind, inspire the body, indulge your emotions in peace, and naturally relax and rejuvenate yourself with a new understanding.
When you change your mind and look at the world differently, the wold changes.
